Lassen Volcanic National Park
On a weekend trip up to the Bay Area I stopped at Lassen Volcanic National Park and was able to fit in some field recording along with my hiking. The landscape has some amazing ambiences but the highlight for me was the hydrothermal areas that created an otherworldly soundscape.
Animal Recording Sessions
I had the wonderful opportunity to spend two days at the Toldeo Zoo recording over eleven animals and their vocalizations. You can hear the processed results in my senior thesis (under the Sound Design & Foley tab), primarily as the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park and in the creature vocals for King Kong and the T-Rex.
Laguna Beach
Impromptu field recording session while hiking in Laguna Beach. A small dam had some really interesting rushing water and this cave had awesome unique acoustical characteristics!
